Reviews |
Here in Italy Jenny Hval is not so appreciated. I don't know why, honestly. And curiosly this EP is, as for now, her best reviewed work. Surely is, as always, an haunting record which captured a musical metamorphosis which is fulfilled in "The Practice of Love".
"The Long Sleep" essentially contains her best song, alongside "Female Vampire": "Spells", followed by another great tune, which is a sort of reprise/variation. The title-track and "I Want to Tell You Something" are somehow less inspiring and engaging, but they don't reduce the high quality of the work.
