DJ Antaro presents his Hamburg-based label's eighth volume of the Global Psychedelic Trance series: another two-disc set of psych-trance nuggets. Altogether, the elder statesman rolls through 16 tracks and allows each one to stretch out for at least five minutes. This is a decent introduction for those who want to be clued in to Hamburg's early-2000 trance scene. Global Psychedelic Trance, Vol. 8 contains tracks from Double Dragon's "Cabin Fever," Electric Universe's "Embrace It," Jo Yummy's "Effektküche," Bloatsucher's "Trip to the Bottom," Alien Mutation's "The Sacred Vibe," and GMS' "At the End of a Rainbow." This is hardly the best psych-trance mix out there, but it does come from an accomplished veteran.
